A Year in My Life: 2019 Recap

Wow, we’ve conquered 2019. It’s now time to conquer 2020. However, before we leap into the new decade, we must first reflect on the year that has past to see what changes we must make.

Positives of 2019

I got my first job this year!

I graduated high school!

I’m still with my boyfriend!

I have the greatest friends of all time!

I looked towards Jesus and am growing in my faith!

I got tickets to a SEVENTEEN concert!

I started this blog!

I went to California with my family!

I got a promise ring from the love of my life!

Overall, this year had a ton of positives and I’m so happy that it happened. There were a lot of ups and downs, but I think overall, I had a good year.

Negatives of 2019

The first thing that I did wrong this year was that I did not set any goals. I looked through my bullet journal and there were no goals set for this year. Why did I do that? No wonder I really didn’t have any direction this year, it’s because I didn’t have any goals.

Another negative of this past year would be the very small amount of time that I invested in myself. I spent a lot of time focusing on other people and taking care of them, that I ended up neglecting myself.

I also didn’t spend enough time in 2019 studying and learning. This could count as the previous point, however I need to spend more time studying to make sure that I get good grades this semester.

The last thing that I would like to change for 2020 is my lack of effective planning. I spent a lot of time doing things on a whim, that I didn’t effectively plan to make my life easier. In a future post, I’ll share my planning system for 2020, which has been working out quite well for me in the past month.

Thanks for reading this extremely short post that I started on December 23rd and didn’t finish until February 12th. Have a fun Valentine’s day!

Lots of love,

Meghan ❤
