My Winter Daily Routine

Winter break is coming up, or it’s already happening, and for the next 3 or 4 weeks, we have absolutely no structure in our lives and we need a routine. So, today I’m going to share my winter routine, that will include inspiration from Hygge, the 1940s and 50s, as well as modern college students.

For school, I tend to wake up at 4:30 in the morning, however, now that I don’t have to be out of the house at 7am, that’s going to change. Here’s my winter break morning routine.

7:00am – Wake up and use the restroom

7:10am – Drink 200ml of water and brush teeth

7:20am – Yoga and workout

8:20am – Shower, skin care, get dressed, do hair and make up

9:00am – Make bed, open blinds, quick room clean

9:15am – Breakfast!

9:45am – Bible time (read bible, pray, sing some songs, journal)

10:15am – Reading time (read my current book)

10:45am – Play with Aero (my doggo)

11:00am – Take a walk outside

11:30am – Freshen up and do one self-care activity

The afternoon is a great time to get things done, however we can often experience an afternoon slump after doing too much or not enough.

12:00pm Lunch!

12:30pm – One MCAT study lesson on Khan Academy

1:00pm – Power nap

2:10pm – Sewing practice? Crafting? Something creative

3:00pm – Mindless activities (YouTube, TV, Netflix, video games, etc.)

4:00pm – Eat dinner

4:30pm – Hang out with family

5:00pm – Gratitude and tarot

6:00pm – Meditation and prayer

6:30pm – Free time (Netflix, YouTube, video games, etc.)

8:30pm – Change into PJs, skincare, brush teeth, hair up

9:00pm – Blinds close, quick room clean

9:30pm – Reading time

10:00pm – Sleep!

It’s always important to keep a consistent schedule, which is why I make routines for every time of the year. I hope this has inspired you in some way.

Lots of love,

Meghan ❤
